I downloaded the BlackBerry Maps for my Curve 8300 device, and to my amazement it worked!
During my experience with the Pearl 8100, which I bought from Etisalat, whenever I try to download the BlackBerry Maps application, I get an error from the RIM website stating that my serivce provider restrict such download.
BlackBerry Maps, as quoted by RIM:
View maps and receive directions on your BlackBerry® smartphone using BlackBerry® Maps. This application allows you to find businesses, restaurants and more by entering addresses and viewing their locations on maps, quickly and conveniently from virtually wherever you are. BlackBerry Maps can also provide a visual route and step-by-step instructions to help you get to where you want to go.
Its a handy application, especially when you are in the move, and in need to find a location. I am using it for sometime now, and with RIM’s continuous updates, I believe BlackBerry Maps will surpass all.
For more information, check out RIM’s BlackBerry Maps site.

What does this mean?
You look at your BlackBerry screen, and what you see sometimes is an EDGE

The next thing you know its a GPRS

Yes. It is true!
Etisalat provides you now with Arabic support to those devices. Though, it is not full Arabic support, as you can only read Arabic, but not write. But then, what gives? At least reading Arabic, is better than nothing.
I am still waiting for the Curve 8300 Arabic support for my device.
If you have further questions or need any help regarding how to get such supports, please contact me on abdulla@blackberryuae.net.

Download the Holy Quran for free to your BlackBerry device.
This will work on all BlackBerry devices with OS 3.8 and above.

There are alot of themes out there for both the Pearl 8100, and Curve 8300, and other BlackBerry devices.
Two sites I recommend for now are:

The Apple iPhone have not been released yet here in the UAE.
But, who said that you couldn’t have the ringtones downloaded to your BlackBerry?
To download the ringtones click here.
P.S. I checked them all out, and didn’t like any.
